WHAT TO BRING

What You Need..

We want to make your stay as easy and relaxing as possible however there are just a few things that you will need to bring with you.

Wingtons Glamping is self-catering so remember to bring your own food and drink – each tent comes with its own Weber Baby Q BBQ; an esky to keep your items cool and we provide glasses, plates, cutlery, oil, salt & pepper and BBQ utensils. While we provide a selection of teas and coffee you will need to bring your own milk.

The closest place to shop is Beaconsfield where there are two grocery stores, a bakers, butchers, vineyard, micro-brewery and pub. Although we do provide ice bricks for you to borrow these are great at keeping things cool but not as good as a fridge at cooling warm things down fast. We highly recommend picking up a bag of ice in Beaconsfield on your way through to us, especially in the warmer months to keep food and drinks cold.

While we are lucky enough to be in a micro climate it can still get chilly at night. Don’t forget to pack some layers but remember that your tent does come with a wood heater to keep you toasty, a hot water bottle, Hungarian goose down duvet and plenty of blankets. During the warmer months we would also recommend bringing sun screen & bug spray and please remember we are powered by solar so although there is no air conditioning there is a fan to keep you cool! Each tent has a small battery, enough to charge small devices via USB such as a phone as well as run the lights at night. Please note: this will not run hairdryers, straighteners, CPAP machines or other larger electrical items.

Each tent has a maximum capacity of 2 people and guests must be at least 18 years old to stay at Wingtons Glamping.

We have 2 kayaks available for guests to use free of charge so don’t forget to bring your swimmers and reef shoes (very important as the river bank is very rocky and there are sharp oyster shells). Due to currents in the Tamar River the kayaks are available when the tide is at least 2 metres high only and during daylight hours. You can check tide times here. Should you be interested in taking these out we highly recommend letting us know at the time of booking so we can make sure they are put aside for you during your stay.

Most important of all, don’t forget to bring your adventurous spirit!
